“Learn. Read. Think.”

Especially in today’s world “news” is unreliable at best. So it’s our responsibility to find out what is opinion –– perception of what is right/correct v. our spending effort and time to validate/learn for ourselves.

My reading is determined by my curiosity to learn. As with everything, time and experience changes interests.

Major areas of interest for me are:

1.) History: US + World + Founding Fathers + Native Americans

2.) Bible based: Bible and few writers

3.) Living life: Some ancient philosophers

What’s important:

1.) Values and health (both mental + physical).

2.) How to use our most limited resource (time) wisely.

My favorite books (not in a set order):

1.) Antifragile: Things That Gain from Disorder by Nassim Taleb

2.) Knowing God by J.I. Packer

3.) Guns, Germs and Steels by Jared Diamond

4.) 1776: America and Britain at War and American Spirit both by David McCullough (All of his books are great!)

4. Founding Fathers: The Fight for Freedom and the Birth of American Liberty by K.M. Kostyal

5. Founding Brothers by Joseph Ellis

It’s mandatory over a lifetime to self educate.

And to remember not to think too highly of ourselves.
