My apartment has the cutest fixtures and I’m working hard to fill it with furniture that just have that je ne sais quoi. But I wanted the entrance to set the tone and while the blue front door was cute… it was just lacking.

You know, when I invite friends over for dinner and they’re waiting for me to come unlock the door…

I wanted something give off the right vibe check:

I fell in LOVE with these Frenchie topiaries and big planters.

The problem? Each plant was $225 and each planter was $200. Soooo total cost was going to be $850?! Hard no. I need to still pay my rent. And you know, eat lol.

But a trip to a local nursery and a little elbow grease on some Home Goods knock off planters took my cost down to $140.

Add a tangy minimalist leopard-y door mat and voila!
