Journey to Green Juice

I recently bought a juicer and named her “Big Mama.”

File that under “quarantine buys.” Actually, I just so badly wanted to try Melissa Wood Heath’s juice recipes that she shows she and her children enjoying on the daily via her IG stories.

Check out this vlog(ish) style IGTV of learning how to juice the first time I pulled Big Mama out of the box.

It was truly terrifying, but also so fun and delicious!

I followed one of Melissa’s recipes that she shared on her IG story –

  • 1 celery bundle

  • 1 large cucumber

  • 3 heirloom carrots

  • 1 pink lady apple

  • 1 lemon

  • 3 large leaves of kale

  • a bit of ginger

This is Big Mama.

She’s everything I hoped she’d be.

I did a ton of research and settled on this one because it was “cold pressed” style – meaning it doesn’t heat up or spin past a certain point to preserve as much of the juice’s nutrients as possible.

Be sure to check out Melissa’s site! She has tons of delicious juice recipes!
